Large cacao beans, perfectly dried and expertly harvest and dried on Freddy Salazar's farm, 6 miles off the NW coast of Ecuador on the steep slopes of the Cloud Forest.
This organic Nacional Venezolano Amarillo cacao is a shining example of Ecuadorian fine cacao at it's finest. You've cookie spices, nuts, caramel and forest fruit to explore here... all these notes are layered over that typical Ecuadorian presence found only in fine Ecuadorian cacao. Sometimes overwhelming from other estates, it's here, but leasurely and elegant. It reveals itself slowly but it will ultimately show itself as an unmistakable marker of it's origin.
We are very proud to be the first and only team in Europe to have access to this cacao, imported some serious bulk so we can provide to other makers in Europe and beyond. If you want to experiment, grab a few kilo. If you want to properly explore this cacao, we can offer better rates for larger orders, with breaks every 10kg. Really must be tasted to be believed!
