In the 1980's Bob's parents operated a charity cake stall for Bliss.  A perennial favourite was the 'Queen Mum's Favourite Cake' - a date and walnut recipe that generated a lot of love and did some good at the same time.


It's our honour and privilege to present here, a special limited edition 70% dark chocolate inspired by the Queen's favourite chocolate profile: dark chocolate with a floral character and inclusions.


Each bar has been studded with beautiful, edible Violas grown locally and organic in Portland, Dorset that were still growing only one week ago at the time of this writing! After picking they were carefully pressed and freezedried to maintain its wonderful qualities. A sprinkling of festive local and organic magenta rose to make the bar more festive and add to the profile and chew of the dark chocolate.  


For the cacao we used Philipino cacao from the Kablon farm. The profile of this chocolate is one that is typical of biscuits, chocolate fudge and caramel. This chocolate has won numerous awards, like a two star Great Taste award and Word Bronze at the Academy of Chocolate. We wanted to keep the profile of the chocolate, but add a third and final special ingredient: rose geranium oil.  Sitting somewhere between rose and geranium, this oil gave us the grace and balance and unmistakable presence we were looking for.   Subtle yet enduring strength.  A fitting tribute to the platinum Jubilee of the Queen of 70 years.
